Transit of Venus
I want to share a couple of photos before I get into the Transit of Venus. It's a gorgeous day in San Francisco and here's the view of the Golden Gate Park from one of my windows!Isn't it gorgeous?! It's a little windy outside but the skies are clear so I'll probably head out to a special viewing of the Transit of Venus. This is a very special event where Venus passes between Earth and the Sun. The Transit of Venus happens in pairs (8 years apart) and only happens about every century. Today is the last time to see this in this lifetime. The next time anyone will see Venus passing across the Sun will be in 2117! So go out there and find a place that offers safe viewing of this special event!
